As a student in the Garman Art Conservation Department at SUNY Buffalo State, I manage and create content for Instagram and Facebook social media accounts and the department website. In addition, my responsibilities include organizing and managing yearly portfolio session and Q&A sessions with potential students, participating in department Community Clinic Events and Open House, preparing didactics and talking with the public about current conservation treatment projects.
I was responsible for the WACC social media program, which serves a wide audience ranging from conservators and institutions to the public. Here are an example of two reels I created. The first is a highlight of questions asked and answered during Ask a Conservator Day. The second is a collection of posted from the #MaterialsMonday series I made. This weekly highlighted a different conservation material or tool for each letter of the alphabet! You can check out the WACC instagram here.
